The Foundation for the Promotion and Development of Dental Prosthesis -SOPRODEN- has its own legal status, full capacity to act, and complete economic and administrative independence. It is national in scope and its current social domicile is established in Barcelona, Calle Provenza, 337 3º 1ª, without prejudice to the fact that the Foundation could, in the future, change this domicile to any other site in the same, or any other city in Spanish territory.

SOPRODEN uses all means, and all established or future legal resources within its scope, in an attempt to achieve the following objectives:

Encourage research, education and practical exercises for the professional development of all those people dedicated to, or who intend to dedicate themselves to, activities in the field of dental prosthesis.

Promote and organise, congresses, symposiums, conferences, talks, seminars, workshops or any other activity that could contribute to improving, through interchange of experiences, the quality of the service provided by professionals in this sector.

Constitute, and foster the constitution of, groups and study commissions on scientific matters associated with the sector, as well as the publication, by all means available, of the results obtained.

Promote recognition of professionals in the sector, publicise the services they provide, and the techniques and methods used for the manufacture of dental prosthesis.

Establish, maintain and encourage contacts and associative and collaboration links with other bodies, associations, federations, etc... of a similar nature.

Based on the defence and accomplishment of these objectives, every year SOPRODEN organises courses, symposiums and conferences in different cities, and on different specialities of dental prosthesis. This has made it possible to establish lasting relationships with several Spanish Universities and Dentist’s Associations. At the same time, since May 1985 the Foundation has published 32 issues of a magazine with a scientific content. This is one of the most prestigious sectorial publications in our country.

In addition, a SOPRODEN CONGRESS is held every year. This congress takes place in a different Spanish city each time.
