Con el aumento del número de personas mayores dentados en nuestra sociedad, la caries radicular va adquiriendo cada día más importancia. El conocimiento de su proceso evolutivo, así como todos los factores que influyen en ello, nos ayudará a poder encarar mejor su tratamiento y prevención; por ello en esté trabajo se pretende revisar su epidemiología, la etiología, los factores de riesgo, los criterios diagnósticos, la evolución clínica, así como los últimos tendencias en cuanto a prevención y tratamiento.

Root caries: update

With the increase of aged people in our society, the root caries goes adquiring every doy more importance. The knowledge of their evolutionary process, as well as all the factors thot influence in her, will help us to be oble to face their tractment and prevention better, for it in this work is sought to revise their epidemiology, cietiology, risk-factors, opproaches diagnoses, clínical evolution, as well os you finish them tendencies as for prevention and treatment.
